We are here to help you feel settled by providing support with any mental health and wellbeing concerns you might be having. Below you will find the resources to help you.



Information about mental health if you are a child or young person or their parent / carer

Children and young people will also be affected emotionally by a relocation. There are resources available below to help you or your parent / carer:


Advice and information on local mental health services

Our team can offer guidance and further information on the local mental health services available. We are not an emergency line so if you are in crisis or in need of urgent assistance please see the urgent support section below.

For advice and information from us:

  • Call 0300 002 0060
    One of our administrators will answer and take some details from you. We will arrange for a clinician to call you within two working days.

  • Email spft.bhwellbeing@nhs.net
    Please provide us with your name and contact phone number. Please provide a few details about the advice you are looking for and tell us if you need an interpreter. We will acknowledge your email and arrange for a clinician to call you within two working days.


Make a self-referral to access our mental health service

If you would like to make a referral to the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service please complete our self-referral form.

One of our clinicians will call you back within 3 working days to review the information you have provided. This is to make sure we are the most appropriate service to meet your needs.


Urgent mental health support

Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service isn’t an emergency line or crisis service. For urgent support:

  • Call the Sussex Mental Healthline on 0300 5000 101. They offer 24/7 telephone support, including support for those who may be in crisis, distressed and in urgent need of help with their mental health.

  • If you feel you are not able to keep yourself safe, but do not need immediate medical assistance, you should call the Mental Health Rapid Response Service on 0300 304 0078 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week including bank holidays). Patients, health professionals, and carers can also contact them for advice.

  • Call Samaritans for free on 116 123 or visit https://www.samaritans.org/

  • If you would prefer support via text you can text Shout to 85258

  • For advice on coping with suicidal thoughts, please use the NHS website or the Mind website.
